The FEAR Experience may be a new attraction to Northeast Ohio, but we are not new to creating over the top scares and horrifying thrills. Our attractions, built and staffed by the experienced professionals at International Halloween Productions (IHP) Ltd., have been terrorizing guests for years at a variety of venues across Northwest Ohio...AND, as always for an awesome cause. We'll be located inside the Soccer Sportsplex in North Olmstead, Ohio (31515 Lorain Rd.)! This year, our net proceeds will be donated to The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky, & Indiana Region-Northeast Ohio, - a great cause that makes a real difference for children with life-threatening illnesses. We plan to donate BIG DOLLARS to The Make-A-Wish Foundation; and we know that the only way we’ll be able to do it is by providing YOU with more THRILLS, more CHILLS, and more HORRORS than any other haunted house in town. Learn more about this change in the Help Center. Nick Francis and Max Simon built their first haunted house together a few years ago. It was a home haunt that was entered into a national contest sponsored by the ABC television's Good Morning America. It was among the top vote getters in the contest. The twenty-five hundred square foot attraction, called Hell’s Gate, took six months to build and decorate and required a staff of 20 people to operate. Because Hell’s Gate was located in a residential area, it was only open for business on one night....but what a night it was! Over 500 people experienced real fear that night! The reviews were tremendous...Nick and Max knew they had found their calling. They decided that night that their next step had to be a professional haunt and that it would benefit a worthy cause. It took over a full year of work and a huge investment to make it happen, but they pulled it off! Hell’s Gate Haunt opened in a 40,000 square foot commercial structure in Toledo, Ohio. The Haunt, which was featured in well over a dozen TV and New Media stories was a huge success! In just ten nights of operation, thousands of customers came through, and thousands of dollars were donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio. With this huge success under their belts, Nick and Max have decided to take another bold step. They decided that the Haunted House should be moved to Cleveland, Ohio for the 2010 Haunt season, where it will reopen with a new name: The FEAR Experience!
